What Are Coins and Gems in 2048.now?

2048.now has two in-game currencies: Coins (common) and Gems (premium). Both are entirely earnable through gameplay.

Coins

Coins are the primary currency for the Shop. Earned from:

• Every completed ranked game (scales with score)
• Daily quest completion
• Login streak bonuses

Spent on: board skins, tile styles, cursor cosmetics, and profile frames in the Shop.

Gems

Gems are the premium currency. Earned from:

• Daily login streak milestones (every N consecutive days)
• Quest achievement completions
• Seasonal event participation
• Reaching rank tier thresholds
• Premium subscription (daily gem bonus)

Spent on: exclusive cosmetics not available with coins, Arena entry tickets, and certain limited-edition items.

Neither currency has a competitive impact

Coins and gems are entirely cosmetic. No purchase with either currency affects your score, rank, or leaderboard position. Free-to-play accounts that play consistently earn enough of both through regular gameplay.
